|Client Education is an ongoing commitment at Steinbeck Country Equine Clinic. We view each patient visit as an opportunity to educate horse owners and trainers about equine health.
Additionally, our veterinarians have published many articles for an on-line equestrian magazine and for our own newsletters and Facebook page. You’ll find links to this material in the Articles section of this website.
For more interactive education, we host evening lectures and have hosted a number of full-day educational seminars for our clients. Watch your e-mail and our Facebook page for upcoming educational opportunities.
|Student Visitors including high school and undergraduate college students (18 years of age or older), who are interested in pursuing careers in the veterinary field, are invited to spend the day at Steinbeck Country Equine Clinic. Students get a behind the scenes look at the hospital, where they can observe in-house appointments and procedures, surgeries and patient treatments. Students may also be able to accompany veterinarians and technicians on field calls. Unfortunately we are not able to provide any hands-on opportunities to student visitors.
Summer Employment opportunities are available for 1-2 undergraduate students during our busiest months each year. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have extensive horse handling experience, and be available for a working interview. Please apply early, as these positions fill quickly.
|Professional Training positions are available on a limited basis for students enrolled in veterinary technician programs and veterinary medical schools, as well as recently graduated DVMs.
